China Mobile International (USA) Inc is seeking an ICT Field Engineer to join our fast-growing ICT team to further the growth of our Global Network Service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, performing technical support, and troubleshooting issues on-site. The Field Engineer will work closely with customers and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

• Implement network system, security system (access control, CCTV, Intercom, gate barrier), wireless system, audio system, conference room system, IP phone system. etc.
• Undertakes the installation of equipment, including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, etc.
• Performs cabling installations, including Data, Voice, Fiber Optic, and Paging.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
• Performs various functions, including the installation of commercial network and low voltage infrastructure wiring, as well as the testing and troubleshooting of wiring problems.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure project timelines.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers on product installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using customer input.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and team members on product use and maintenance.
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Electric Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years' relevant experience in the networking / low voltage industry/IT support area.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of relevant equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of cabling, labeling, pulling, and dressing category 5e, category 6 and fiber optic cable, and previous wiring or data experience.
• Experience with installing j-hooks, ladder racks, and cable trays, and working in MDF/IDF environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
• Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux, etc.) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Hands on experience with Cisco /Huawei/H3C (or similar networking hardware vendors), Fortinet, Citrix, VMware, SQL Server, Data Storage, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, etc.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at project locations.
• Certificate Holders of CCNA, CCNP or equivalent is a plus.
• Fluent in Chinese and English
