Job Details
Purpose: Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
- Responsible for breakdowns and repair of automated equipment when Andon call occurs.
- Responsible for collecting and assisting with documentation of repair details, as directed by their Supervisor and / or Maintenance Manager.
- Responsible for performing assigned preventative and predictive maintenance assigned by supervision or management.
Objective: Maintain & improve the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve customer objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide rapid response to breakdowns on highly automated CNC and PLC controlled equipment.
- Ability to quickly analyze, and correct any mechanical, electrical or programming issues associated with the automated systems.
- Ability to safely work in a highly automated environment.
- Ability to quickly analyze and correct mechanical, electrical, and programming issues on equipment.
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot equipment:
- Siemen Spec 7 & Allen Bradley Control Logic PLC
- AC/DC Drive Systems
- CNC and PMC programming. (Advanced Knowledge)
- Robotic programming and diagnostics (Robotic Systems)
- Computer skills Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Knowledge of Maximo CMMS Maintenance system.
- CNC programming knowledge and capability of G&M code and PMC ladder.
- Ability to operate the equipment in "Teach" mode from the HMI or Teach Pendant without assistance.
- Knowledge of PLC logic (Siemens Spec 7 & Allen Bradley Control Logics). Be capable of trouble shooting and restoring the function of the system with minimal down time and effort.
- Have knowledge of and be capable of demonstrating sound reliability maintenance practices and methods when executing mechanical and electrical repairs of equipment.
- Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematic and ladder logic displays, Be capable of working from and understanding equipment manuals, specifications, and BOM's (Bill of Materials) Be capable of comprehending both written and oral instructions.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others.
- Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair. Assist and instruct others when required.
