6:00 am - 3:30 pm , we work 9/80 schedule. M-TH: 9 hours, Friday = 8 hours, following week M-TH: 9 hours and Friday OFF

Client Aerospace and Mission Systems Division is seeking a Composite Machine Operator for our Westminster, MD Facility. Their work directly supports the building and creation of hardware that enables:
Safety of our Warfighters
Firefighters and First responders to save lives
Aircraft to land
Rockets to launch
Satellites to Orbit the earth
Astronauts to perform research

At Westminster, we are a leader in design, manufacturing, and testing of high precision aerospace components including filament wound pressure vessels and structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Composite Machine Operator include the following:
Completing training and enacting all steps required to fabricate and assemble a composite pressure vessel.
Preparing/ completing set up of your machine.
Mixing and preparing chemicals and resins
Loading and unloading ovens
Meeting daily output requirements
Preforming proper checks and procedures to ensure quality product.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

All Production Workers at Westminster are also responsible for:
Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
Complying with all work and process instructions.
Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
Identifying improvement opportunities.
Lifting up to and including 50 pounds.
Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position.
Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred:
HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe's, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.
