Settlement Department Assistant


Job Details

The settlement department assistant will assist in the disbursement of all Personal Injury proceeds. The position will require frequent phone conversations with multiple vendors including doctors offices, health insurance companies, and clients. The assistant will also meet with clients to provide settlement checks.Responsibilities:Correspond with vendors and clients through phone calls, emails, and faxes.Meet with clients to provide settlement checks.Confirm balances on the most recent bills in file for all medical providersCoordinating reductions with medical providersReview the Final Settlement Breakdown and confirm all providersSchedule Arrange and attend Settlement Appointments with clientsScan and save signed checks to fileProcess incoming and outgoing mailWork with the accounting team to ensure data is correct in the case management systemOther assignments/projects as requestedQualifications:Excellent communication skillsCompetency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to solve problems with some supervisionStrong attention to detailDiscretion in handling and communicating sensitive informationAbility to work in a dynamic environmentA positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job doneAbout Company:We pride ourselves on our reputation for being dependable and trustworthy for both our clients and our employees.
