**Description**
**Summary:**The Customer Service Specialist serves as contact between ConMet and customers. Facilitates relevant requests and ensures that all orders and questions are processed in a manner that exceeds customer expectations. This position also serves as the focal point of data entering and administration for various functions within the plant.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Receives and handles customer complaints.
* Communicates with customers by email and phone; informs customers of unit price, shipping date, anticipated delay, and additional information as needed.
* Routes or relays orders to specified department or unit to prepare and ship orders to designated locations.
* Confers with production, sales, shipping, or warehouse personnel to expedite or trace merchandise / delay shipments.
* Reviews orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
* Files copies of orders received.
* Creating various reports for the plant (Past dues, Operational, Quality, HR, etc.) on a daily, weekly, monthly, or other frequency.
* Entering data into spreadsheets and other data housings for retention and use by other functions of the plant.
* Ensuring Data Accuracy by learning the purpose of the reports and self-reviewing outputs for accuracy before distribution.
* Answers primary plant phone and direct callers to the appropriate contact.
* Delivers outgoing/ incoming mail to the appropriate area/ person.
* Maintains awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how each contributes to achieving quality objectives.
****Education and Experience:****
* High School Diploma plus three years experience.
****Required Qualifications and Competencies**:**
* Good judgment skills and organizational abilities. Must manage and prioritize multiple demands and projects with little supervision.
* Strong process and communication skills.
* Excellent computer literacy and previous experience with Word, Excel, and SAP.
* Strong self-review ability.
* Desire to understand the meaning and use of reports to ensure that data presented in meaningful and accurate.
* Strong data entry accuracy.
* Ability to maintain a positive and calm demeanor under stressful circumstances.
