**Description**
Material Handlers will receives instructions from Group Leader and provides materials to line operators who perform highly repetitive types of operations. Uses shop floor system to request material trough JIT function and notifies Group Leader of any material issues such as shortages and inventory discrepancies at the line location.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsible for verifying packing list when material arrives to the line and helps Group Leader to process RTS (return material to stock) when schedule is complete or close. Takes the lead and gives direction to workers when Group Leader is absent or on vacation.
* Provides materials to line operators in a timely manner and maintains area clean and organized.
* Requests material through JIT function and verifies packing list when material is delivered. Keeps Group Leader inform of parts shortages and inventory discrepancies.
* Process RTS when schedule is complete or close.
* Performs various other duties and assignments as requested to assist the operation and overall functioning of the department and company.
**ADA**:
* Standing 75-100% of the time
* Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
* Use hands/fingers to manipulate inspection tools
* Read, write and verbally communicate in an effective manner in English.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Basic mechanical aptitude. Able to count and use small hand tools, and assemble small items.
