We are searching for a high energy and motivated Purchasing Agent/Buyer to join the team! This is an opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced organization, purchasing and managing suppliers for a wine, spirits and beer distributor. You will be responsible for managing the acquisition of products and services from external sources, procuring the best possible cost to meet the needs of the organization in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location. You will be primarily responsible for planning, strategic sourcing, costs, and managing the procurement of all product and services.**Job Description:**
* Administrate the purchasing process of goods and services for each category group.
* Arrange transportation of all purchase orders, both domestic and international, to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
* Review past forecasts for accuracy and identify areas in need of review.
* Develop and assist in creating and executing sourcing strategies.
* Work with cross functional teams to document business needs, create subsequent business direction and strategy to plan and forecast inventory need.
* Identify and drive cost saving initiatives.
* Ensure sourcing strategy is developed, tracked and measured against key performance criteria.
* Facilitate purchasing matters with other departments, locations and divisions, including senior management.
* Review inventory turns against goals for portfolio and identify items with slow sales and excess inventory.
