Kelly Goodman NP & Associates, PC is a fast-growing NP owned and operated Primary Care Practice looking to hire a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner for its Bethesda location.
What you will do
- Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for well, complex acute and chronically ill patients.
- Function independently to provide care for sick and well patients in the primary care setting.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient s age-specific needs.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Implements interventions for wellness visits and ongoing sick care.
- Assists with the implementation of vaccines based on the guidelines according to the CDC.
- Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
- Facilitates the patient s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
- Documents all patient medical history and symptoms.
- Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment.

- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Experience providing Primary Care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Knowledge of disease prevention.
What is required for you to Apply?
- Master s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Must have RN licensure in MD or a compact party state and be board certified by either ANCC or AANP.
- Must have prescriptive authorization
- APN authorization in Maryland to practice in Family Health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Eligible for Hospital Privileges
- 2+ year of FNP experience
- Current DEA number
- Current CNS number
- Current NPI Number

Job Type: Full-time
Day/Hours: Monday - Friday. Rotating Saturday hours with other Nurse Practitioners 8am-1pm.
