the Renaissance brand. Display dignity and respect of others at all times.
Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes (verifying registration, address and credit
information, balancing bank, posting charges). Go above and beyond to provide assistance, i.e.,
assist with luggage, coffee, directions, wake-up calls, future reservations, etc.
Courteously and efficiently provide information for guest and visitor inquiries; coordinate all
guest requests for special arrangement of services; inform guests of hotel services, features and
room amenities.
Answer hotel telephones courteously and efficiently following Renaissance brand standards.
Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean and provide quality beverages and food products
consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Be familiar and
knowledgeable with the operation of the Point-Of-Sale system.
Assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly,
professional, and timely manner. Use suggestive selling techniques. Maintain a clean, organized
environment for guests by clearing tables during service.
Follow Marriott operational policies and procedures, including those for cash and credit card
handling, safety and security and all other policies, procedures and standards to ensure we can
consistently exceed the guests' expectations.
**Renaissance New York Hotel Flushing** is hiring a full-time **Concierge** for a **brand-new property** opening soon in **Flushing, NY** . As part of the opening team, this role will use knowledge and expertise to build, maintain, and update an in-house and online catalog of local offerings from restaurants and bars, to shops and museum exhibits, and everything in between. Concierges will not only be responsible for delivering this information to guests, but also for educating other associates so they can deliver this information to our Discoverer guests as well. When not carrying out Concierge duties, you could be helping check in or out guests during busy times, or assisting guests with food orders and serving food and beverage items to guests, as needed.
If you are at least 18 years old, have a deep knowledge of the Flushing, NY area, are able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship, can work a flexible hospitality schedule that can include days, evenings, weekends and holidays, then we want you to apply!

**Requirements:**
Minimum high school diploma or GED
Able to work legally in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
At least 18 years of age
Deep knowledge of Flushing, NY area
Basic computer skills
Available to work a hospitality schedule (am/pm, weekends, holidays, 7am-3pm or 3 pm-11 pm)
If no concierge experience, some work experience related to heavy client facing responsibilities and customer service
A positive team attitude, willing to pitch in where needed even if it's not a concierge duty
**Preferred skills, but not required:**
Previous concierge experience
Fluency in spoken Mandarin *and* English
Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record
