Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist I:
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation for spares, tools, and materials deployment and stocking.
- Coordinate shipping logistics, maintain records, and track materials for proper allocation in storage facilities.
- Learn and adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
- Perform physical tasks including walking, sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive hand motions.
- Work in varied conditions, occasionally exposed to outdoor elements, loud noises, and potentially hazardous materials, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
Required Skills of the Logistics Specialist I:
- Exposure to inventory databases; familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
- Must-have: Ability to operate a forklift; Experience with shipping databases like FedEx, DHL, UPS
- Understanding of Shelf Life; Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
