Entry level assembler trainee, 2nd Shift.****Job Description****

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities:**

* Performs a series of steps in the manufacturing process of assembly, which are assembled in accordance with military specifications.

* Performs basic tasks such as mechanical assembly, potting encapsulation, cut, strip, tin wire, drilling shells, touch up paint, stenciling.

* Follows operation sheets, engineering drawings and engineering change orders in completion of the assembly tasks

* Exercises care to ensure that each step in the process is completed correctly and that the part or finished product meets the quality specifications

* Maintains records as required to charge direct labor time to specific product amounts

* Performs duties using a variety of small hand tools and related production equipment

* Performs other routine operations within fairly similar situations as required

* Provides written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situations

* Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner

* Understands and complies with all Company, safety rules and regulations

* Engages and participates in a self directed teaming environment

**Requirements/Knowledge:**

**Education Required:**

* High School Diploma or GED

* IPC-A-610 Certification (Must obtain within probationary period)

**Experience**

* No experience required

* Skill Level Required:

* Skills required in handling basic or simple tools and/or measuring devices such as micrometers, radius gauges, calipers, etc.

* Basic computer skills

* Skills required in basic shop math

* Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination

**Desired Qualifications:**

* Past experience in a manufacturing environment

* Past experience in a self-directed teaming environment

* Lean manufacturing knowledge

* Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards
