This role reports to our office in Leesburg, Va and will primarily support our secured work division. This is a position open due to growth in our organization.Why join us?Excellent benefits including 401K w. matchVehicle allowance + gas card (even though this is primarily an office position)Direct hire opportunity with long-term stabilityBonus Incentive of up to 10%Challenging work that requires a broad understanding of construction projectsJob DetailsBased in Leesburg, VA - we are a growing GC seeking an experienced Estimator who is comfortable with cost estimates for building renovations, MEP infrastructure upgrades, new build, and civil projects typically valued in the $2M to $25M range. In this role you will work closely with our operations project team to provide estimating subject matter expertise in developing the scope of work and detailed cost estimates for design-bid-build and design-build projects. The right candidate for the job will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of construction across all trades, read complex architectural, MEP, plans/specifications, and be able to define and develop bid strategy.Essential BackgroundWorking knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and the capacity to understand unique project requirements. Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively use a variety of estimating, scheduling, and reporting software tools. The ability to travel to different job sites within a designated geographical area.Minimum Qualifications5 years of construction industry experience3+ years of demonstrated experience estimating self-performed work activities and subcontracted work. A strong working knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and sitesDue to the nature of our work and client requirements, US Citizenship & proof of Covid Vaccination are requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience in government contracting is preferred BS. degree in engineering or construction management is preferredThis is an urgent need.
