Responsibilities


Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for pharmaceutical projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects that include HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork static pressure calculations, and pump head calculations.
  • Performs detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accepted methods.
  • May devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered and communicates changes to the team.
  • May supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline.
  • May take part in client contact and business development activities.
  • Meets with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
  • May write portions or all of the specifications and assist in or prepare total cost estimates.
  • Performs design work with REVIT.
  • Develops engineering concepts and presentations.
  • Coordinates work with other disciplines.
  • Keeps current on new design methods and ideas.
  • Travel required.
  • Valid driver's license required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college program, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • PE or PE-tracked preferred, plus two (2) or more years of experience as an Engineer 3 or the same educational, certification, and registration requirements as above with five (5) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s) required.
  • Experience with, and the ability to size HVAC equipment, duct and ancillary equipment, hydronic, and utility piping systems and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, REVIT and MicroStation preferred, as well as Microsoft Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working on Pharmaceutical projects is preferred. Automotive, Manufacturing, and Commercial projects is a plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
