Production Manager

Position Overview: We are looking for a talented and experienced Production Manager with expertise in steel or tubing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing production lines, optimizing workflow, ensuring product quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, meeting production targets, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork within the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to meet production targets and customer demands.
  2. Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards by implementing best practices and conducting regular inspections and audits.
  4. Lead and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to identify and resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  6. Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and generate reports to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  7. Manage inventory levels, material procurement, and supply chain logistics to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery of finished products.
  8. Drive initiatives for cost reduction, waste minimization, and process optimization to improve profitability and competitiveness in the market.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to metal or tubing manufacturing processes to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation and compliance.
  10. Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability among production staff, promoting a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations/procedures
  • 5 years of production management within industrial manufacturing
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, operations management or related field
  • Strong understanding of production processes and best practices in the tubing industry
  • Experience working with stainless steels and nickel alloys is strongly desired.
