COMPENSATION:

AAFE offers rich benefits, recognition, opportunities for professional growth and competitive salaries. Salary offers will be based on the candidates experience in similar roles and will fall approximately at a $20 hourly rate.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Stanton Norfolk is looking for a part-time Data Entry Assistant. This is a great entry-level opportunity to start a career in the property management industry. Reporting to the Property Manager, the Data Entry Assistant will play a major role in the implementation of Yardi and the data migration from MDS Property Management to Yardi. This position will be providing administrative support, data entry and file maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills and thrive in organizing and structuring data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance in maintaining, entering and transferring data for the Yardi implementation both in electronic and physical formats.
  • Accurately enter data into databases and spreadsheets
  • Organize, maintain, and update physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Assist in creating, formatting, and proofreading documents that will be migrated to Yardi.
  • Maintain records of departmental activities, correspondence, and transactions in an organized manner
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports if needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing work results as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School degree or equivalent with any experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Clerical assistant, Data Entry Assistant or Administrative Assistant experience is a plus
  • A successful track record of working in a fast-paced, complex environment, working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize workloads, maintain systems and manage competing demands
  • The ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure
  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to adapt tone and message for difference audiences
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as printers, scanners and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Drive, MDS and Yardi is a plus
  • Strong data entry experience with emphasis on speed and accuracy
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a plus

Stanton Norfolk Inc. is a division of Asian Americans for Equality, Inc. (AAFE) that manages the day-to-day operations of over 800 units of affordable housing across nearly 50 multifamily properties serving over 1,100 individuals and families in Manhattan and Queens neighborhoods, including Chinatown/Lower East Side, Flushing, and the Far Rockaways.
