Watson Mills & Design is advancing monumental residential architectural millwork design for the most discerning project teams and owners across the United States. We deliver industry-leading design, engineering, state-of-the-art manufacturing, and exacting installation for the world s finest homes.


Position Overview:


The Purchasing Manager sources and purchases products for Watson Mills & Design projects. Their key duties include locating suppliers, establishing relationships, researching goods, services, and materials, negotiating the best pricing, and processing purchase orders.


Responsibilities:


  • Work directly with project managers and engineering in purchasing materials and other items necessary for completing projects.
  • Help to define project specific purchasing plans including identifying long lead time items and purchasing to jobs.
  • Act as a partner in reviewing take off items and confirming quantities prior to developing purchase orders.
  • Create, review and process purchase orders.
  • Maintain inventories and monitor usage inconsistencies, price changes, deliveries, and supplier backorders.
  • Responsible for ensuring all purchasing and inventory data is accurately entered and updated in our ERP (Innergy).

  • 2-5 Years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally and with suppliers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided via phone, email, or architectural plans.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office 365, including Excel software; Bluebeam software and CAD(AutoCAD/Revit/Sketch-Up) experience a plus.

Salary:


  • $60K - $95K Annual Salary
