Housekeeping Attendant - Environmental Services *Up to $2,000 Hiring Bonus* Newberg , Oregon **Description:**
**Providence is calling Cleaning Attendants to Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, Oregon. These are full-time, part-time, and on-call ranging from 24- 40 hour a week positions. We have day, evening & night shifts available. Shifts are aligned to a rotating schedule and require weekend and holiday availability. These positions start at $18.83 per hour and include a full benefits package.**

We are seeking Housekeeping Attendants that will performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well-established guides and assigned areas.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
* Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), as outlined for Environmental Services Department
* Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures, according to established housekeeping procedures
* Clean floors: dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, disinfects where and when necessary. Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur in a timely manner
* Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures: dusts, spot cleans or washes, disinfects when necessary, polishes where required, changes slipcovers, etc. when soiled. This includes the cleaning of ledges, shelves, vents, etc. Empties, cleans, and relines wastebaskets. Straightens or rearranges furniture as directed. Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor
* Vacuum all carpets, cleans hard surface floors
* Clean bathrooms (patient, private, public): cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors and walls as directed
* Wash windows and mirrors
* Replenish bathroom supplies
* Clean entrances, exits, and sidewalks
* Clean all horizontal surfaces daily or as required, removing dust, dirt, or greasy film, using disinfectants where necessary as in patient care areas
* Perform terminal cleaning duties according to established procedures in patient rooms when patient has been discharged or transferred, and prepares room for new patient
* Perform cleaning duties in isolation units when patient is transferred, according to established procedure
* Remove for cleaning and rehangs curtains, drapes, dividers
* Remove trash, bio boxes and linen throughout hospital and takes to appropriate disposal areas, wears protective apparel
* Report observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctioning to supervisor
* Re-stock linen appropriately
