Farm Seasonal Projects Technician (sugarhouse) / VTC Farm Randolph CampusPart Time- Temp up to 10 Hours per weekCompensation- $20 per HR Grade N/ASeasonal (Jan - March)BASIC FUNCTIONTo provide the specific services specified below on a part-time, seasonal basis in support of the VTC Farm's diversified agriculture infrastructure.CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Assist with annual sugar making operation, including boiling and gathering sap, as well as maintaining equipment.* Occasionally assist with forage crop production.* Occasionally assist the Farm Manager in procuring supplies from current vendors.SUPERVISION RECEIVEDMinimal supervision is received from the Farm Manager.SUPERVISION EXERCISEDN/AMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Deep understanding of and experience with traditional sugar making operations.* Deep understanding of traditional forage crop production and ability to support operations.* Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting farm equipment.Special Considerations: Nights/ Weekends.
