About the Role:

• We are seeking a Lab Technician to support the development of solutions for the Coatings Industry.
• This position will involve working in a chemistry lab, mixing chemicals, testing samples, and documenting results.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Mix chemicals, test samples, and document results
• Operate with a sense of urgency and adapt to priority changes
• Have basic computer skills and be comfortable with email, MS Word, and MS Excel
• Maintain high standards of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail - Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Perform laboratory experiments and basic chemical mixing
• Manage vendors, order materials, and catalog supplies
• Document technical information
• Handle chemical instrumentation, compatibility, and storage
• Demonstrate a detailed-oriented approach and sensitivity to timelines Proactively manage tasks and facilitate laboratory operations

Education Qualification:

• High School diploma with 6 years of practical laboratory experience Associate's degree with 2 years of practical laboratory experience Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
• College-level understanding of chemistry, physics, and engineering Institutions of Higher Education accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Required Skills:

• Experience in laboratory activities
• Knowledge of chemical mixing and experimentation
• Experience in vendor management and material ordering
• Ability to document technical information - Basic understanding of chemical instrumentation, compatibility, handling, and storage
• Proactive task management skills
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to timelines Join our Printing & Packaging Application Laboratory team in the Technical Sales group and contribute to projects in the Printing Ink, Over Print Varnish, and Packaging Coatings markets.
