The Company

We are New Day Wound Care, a mobile wound care clinic specializing in expert on-site and in-home services as well as innovative wound care products designed for patients with chronic wounds. Our aim is to deliver exceptional wound care services through advanced treatment techniques, preventative measures, patient advocacy, and education. The Opportunity

This contract role is an on-call function that will be dispatched to onsite appointments at patient locations to provide wound care. The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for diagnosis and review of medical notes received from patients primary care physician, specialists, and those providing conservative treatment for the wound, ultimately to determine a treatment plan and directly provide wound care to patients. Services will be provided to patients in long-term, transitional care, assisted living memory care homes, and/or at patient residence. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing a treatment plan that results in successful wound care outcomes, while working closely with the patient or facility nursing team.


What We Need

2+ years of experience providing wound care in the post-acute care space

Experience providing home/facility patient visits

Must maintain current active unrestricted license in the state of residence

Professional demeanor, articulate, and team/client service oriented, ethical, caring, and respectful

Must meet relevant background requirements and have verifiable current licenses and credentials

Knowledge of current topical wound care products/therapies, including ordering, application, and management of the products on wounds and ostomies, including negative pressure wound therapy.

Exercise solid judgement and discretion in handling and disseminating wound care information

Able to travel to patient locations as scheduled and have a reliable form of transportation to do so

Malpractice insurance Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Wound care certification through a national certifying body (i.e., WOCN, CWS, WCC, etc.) preferred
