Required Skills:

Education

• High School Education (diploma) or equivalent
  
  

Required Experience:

Specific Job Experience

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the maintenance field (preferably in a hospital setting)
• Experience in Nursing homes assisted living and other outpatient type areas.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for general and emergency maintenance throughout the facility.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
  
  

Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital wide and department specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served. The employee s competencies are evaluated on an on-going basis, and formally documented at least annually as part of the Performance Appraisal process.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to meet time standards for completion of work orders and assigned PM s.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Basic knowledge of operation and maintenance of various types of equipment used in the hospital.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities.
