Our Lead endoscopy nurse plays a pivotal role in the success of the ambulatory surgical center by providing leadership to our endo staff and quality care to our endoscopy patients.
Job Duties - In this role, you will manage staff to ensure the provision of safe and effective nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process
- Deliver compassionate, quality care to our patients and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage in the endo center
- Directly supervise the ancillary staff in the performance of their daily duties
- Plan, develop, recommend, and implement orientation and continuing education programs of the Endo Suite and PACU
- Communicate with the anesthesia team lead regarding staffing schedules and obtaining anesthesia coverage and managing contract relations
- Promote a favorable facility image with patients, gastroenterologists, anesthesia team, medical staff, insurance companies, and the general public
- Manage facility budget and ensure compliance with relevant internal and external regulatory standards and policies
Candidate Requirements- Active Virginia RN license
- Associate degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience (inpatient or ASC setting)
- Management skills with knowledge of principles of personnel administration a plus
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
