Our Lead endoscopy nurse plays a pivotal role in the success of the ambulatory surgical center by providing leadership to our endo staff and quality care to our endoscopy patients.

Job Duties
  • In this role, you will manage staff to ensure the provision of safe and effective nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process
  • Deliver compassionate, quality care to our patients and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage in the endo center
  • Directly supervise the ancillary staff in the performance of their daily duties
  • Plan, develop, recommend, and implement orientation and continuing education programs of the Endo Suite and PACU
  • Communicate with the anesthesia team lead regarding staffing schedules and obtaining anesthesia coverage and managing contract relations
  • Promote a favorable facility image with patients, gastroenterologists, anesthesia team, medical staff, insurance companies, and the general public
  • Manage facility budget and ensure compliance with relevant internal and external regulatory standards and policies
Candidate Requirements
  • Active Virginia RN license
  • Associate degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience (inpatient or ASC setting)
  • Management skills with knowledge of principles of personnel administration a plus
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
