Overview
TRC is currently seeking various level Construction Inspectors to become part of our Construction Inspection team for our upcoming NYSDOT & NYS Thruway bridge and highway construction projects in Syracuse, NY area. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess demonstrated hands on experience and technical expertise in bridge and highway rehabilitation and construction. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform WZTC (Work Zone Traffic Control) inspections to confirm compliance as per the project MPT and staging plans.
- Perform field inspections to ensure the work performed by the Contractor is incompliance with the contract drawings and specifications.
- Perform field material tests as necessary.
- Take field measurements, collect field data and prepare DWRs as per MURK requirements.
Qualifications
- Must have bridge and/or highway construction experience with NYSDOT, NYS Thruway or local municipalities.
- NICET Level II or higher (or degree equivalency) is required.
- Familiarity with NYSDOT MURK Documentation and using Site Manager.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Night Shift, over-time and potential weekend work availability.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $30-50/Hr. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
