We currently seek to fill the position of IT Intern - Technician to perform all Level 1 IT support activity for the Company in the areas of systems and application administration, configuration and maintenance, personal computing, hardware maintenance, and all other aspects of data processing, all while advancing KBCs mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility is to build and load software on PC workstations, laptops, and I-devices.
  • Serves as the point of contact for the Kadant Black Clawson IT Help Desk and provides Level 1 PC technical support on all KBC systems, performing response to all IT service tickets, ensuring ticket completeness/quality, first call resolution to standard problems, and escalation when appropriate.
  • Diagnoses/resolves PC and related peripheral issues with at-the-desk presence when appropriate.
  • Acts as the local and remote first call fix for all documented, recurring incidents on any software/system.
  • Configures and manages periodic standard report generation of/on the KACE service desk system.
  • Documents effective/approved resolutions to recurring incidents and posts to the support repository.
  • Provides end user support for a number of MAC products such as iPads, iPhones, and a limited number of apple computers.
  • Assists as required with deployment and support of cell phones.
  • Seeks to maintain functionality and availability of all end user devices.
  • Maintains software documentation and procedural documentation for the IT department.

  • Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
