Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain of physical refined products related movements including logistics of pipeline, waterborne and storage from origin to destination, as well as terminal inventories and logistics management.

This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, risk mindedness and the ability to multi-task.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling of Refined Products sourced via pipeline and rail transportation.
  • Oversee resolution of quality and quantity discrepancies through coordination with facilities, inspections, and counterparties for purchased and sold products.
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including counterparties, inspection firms, loss control entities, customs brokers, and storage facility personnel.
  • Monitor and manage inventory imbalances and transportation losses, ensuring clear and timely communication of status and events to the Refined Products desk.
  • Assist in reconciling energy volumes related to receipts and deliveries across suppliers, transporters, distributors, and end-users.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting to address rate and volume discrepancies.
  • Provide trading teams with precise and timely updates on operational developments, including imbalance positions, pipeline operational status, and capacity availability.
  • Develop and implement efficient scheduling methods to optimize company resources, inventory levels, and transport costs.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed or delegated.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, or equivalent field.
  • 4+ years of analytical experience, ideally in a related field with exposure to refined products, contracts, operations, or accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in pipeline scheduling (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Self-motivated individual responsible for nominations and scheduling
  • Proficient in Colonial pipeline operations with a solid working knowledge.
