About the client and role
Our client is a global tier 1 manufacturing company and is looking for a Director of Purchasing to be responsible for North America Supplier.
Responsibilities (listed if required)
Promote material cost competitiveness
Establish and stabilize Purchasing
Discover competitive North American suppliers
Implement VA/VE and sourcing localization
Determine sourcing & price for all responsible components
Facilitate interdepartmental communication with engineering, plant operations, and sales
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in business, engineering, or related field
Certified Purchasing Manager preferred
Strong cost analysis skills
Strong negotiation experience and skills
Leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
