Under the direction of the Director of Career Readiness, the Postsecondary Readiness Manager oversees the implementation of the Horizons High School Advising Partnership. The Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to thrive in higher education settings.

ffers are made at the entry level of the range.Assignment:As the Postsecondary Readiness Manager, you will have the inaugural role in leading a regional partnership of college and career advisors at rural high schools and in higher education settings . This position requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of advising best practices, community engagement and a commitment to promoting equity and access in postsecondary readiness. This is a grant funded initiative expected to last three school years.The position will be 40 hours per week, 221 days per year.First review of applications will be April 22, 2024.A complete application will include:

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to support postsecondary readiness initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful execution of program activities.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including school administrators, educators, community organizations, and postsecondary institutions, to foster partnerships and support the implementation of postsecondary readiness initiatives.Work closely with educators and content experts to design and implement curriculum materials and resources that address the diverse needs of students preparing for postsecondary education. Ensure that curriculum materials are aligned with relevant standards and best practices in postsecondary readiness education.Provide training and professional development opportunities to high school and postsecondary advising team, as well as other educators and staff involved in postsecondary readiness initiatives, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support student success. Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in postsecondary readiness education, incorporating new insights into program design and implementation.Develop data collection protocols and systems to track program outcomes and measure the impact of postsecondary readiness initiatives on student success. Analyze data to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-informed decisions to optimize program outcomes.Hire, supervise, train and evaluate staff.

Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years experience in K12 or higher education advising.Experience using postsecondary readiness strategies (high school and beyond plan, college and career pathways, dual credit and financial aid) with high school students.Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, providing professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.Proficiency in data collection, analysis and evaluation techniques, and experience using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in education, counseling or related field.Previous experience in project management, preferably in an educational setting.Experience working with diverse populations.

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel across the ESD112 region and the state.

Employment Requirements:
