Position Summary
Under general supervision, performs pro-active maintenance, repairs and inspections to facility and equipment in assigned areas.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Exhibits basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Performs general repair on mechanical systems
Ability to independently plan work assignments and effectively works with others as needed
Performs preventative maintenance and documents records accordingly
Performs basic repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hospital beds and stretchers and documents accordingly
Orders supplies materials and maintenance
Tests equipment for proper operation and working condition
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
High School or Vo-Tech Graduate or equivalent experience
Valid NJ Driver's License
Building maintenance and repair experience preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items frequently
