Summary/Purpose

Provides support to production equipment through troubleshooting and reliability improvements.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Know l e d ge of PLC sys tems and troubleshooting

  • Abi li ty to u se ge n e ral gages s u c h as: ca li pers , micrometer, cy linder gage , and dial indicator
  • Knowl e dge and t r oub le s hooting of oil/ lub e systems
  • Understan d i n g of hand and power t oo l u sage
  • Ge ner al knowledge of operating an d maint ain in g h eat in g, cooling or ventilation equipment
  • Ability to ana l yze an d solve t echnical maintenance prob l ems including buildin g maintenance, e quipm ent, plumbing and ot h e r s im ple repairs
  • S tr o n g i nitiative an d s e l f-starter
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Special equipment knowledge (i.e., grinding, chip handling systems, vacuum and filtration, etc.)
  • Experience with metal cutting and tooling, cutting fluids and their use
  • General knowledge of heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and operation of compressed air systems
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems
  • Experience with PLC systems and nomenclature
  • Experience with the following; close tolerance measurement and part drawing interpretation
  • Strong skills in problem solving, working in a team environment, interpersonal skills and ability to access equipment to troubleshoot and support
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and adherence to
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed


Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Technologies or a related filed or equivalent work experience with a minimum of High School Diploma or GED

  • Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.

  • May be required to lift during shift up to 40 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
