Overview:

The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect-Salesforce works with senior leadership at the local, regional, and national level to solution options from defined requirements that support the internal sales and financial goals within GBS. The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect-Salesforce works as assigned to ensure that Salesforce.com (SFDC) Solutioning Architecture activities are executed accurately, completely, and on time, coordinating with all necessary parties including business unit clients, vendors and IT. He/She must possess intermediate SQL and advanced MS Excel and work collaboratively across divisions and business units.

The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect-Salesforce will perform hands-on technical implementation, project management, Salesforce.com administration and system evangelizing. This person will also be responsible for executing day-to-day configuration, training, maintenance, and improvement to the platform. The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of solving critical business problems and acting as the knowledge expert for evolving new processes within the company. GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect-Salesforce will define & create reports as needed and evaluate data to implement new reports as appropriate. He/She works to ensure data integrity across the organization, maintaining a reporting dictionary defining core measures on all Salesforce items built. He/She must also understand the importance of protecting Gallaghers data and act in accordance with organizational priorities.

  • It is a fully remote role that will need to be based in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

List of Essential Duties

  • Design and execute solutions for identified Business Process/User Story challenges.
  • Analyzes requirements and system capabilities to provide feedback, gap analysis, and solution proposals.
  • Assist in defining required features and mapping Salesforce features to business processes.
  • API integrations with other systems Marketing Cloud, MS Exchange, Telephony, and ETL tools.
  • Oversee the feature request backlog and work with GBS-IT Leadership to prioritize and execute.
  • Implementation of Custom Objects, Process Builder/Flows, Workflows, Formulas, and Validations Rules.
  • Implement enhancements and roll-out new features to the Salesforce platform.
  • Works with internal clients to develop and document clear, testable requirements.
  • Utilize Project Management Tools, DevOps, Ant/Eclipse, and VS Code.
  • Evangelize and drive user-adoption across the Division.
  • Trains stakeholders on how to effectively access and use reports, dashboards and reporting/analytics tools.
  • Identifies best-practices supporting business performance relating to efficiency and improved customer service.
  • Identifies systems and process barriers to generate ideas for improvement.
  • Comply with AJG IT policies and procedures.
  • Support and train team members and end-users on how to effectively use both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Create and maintain on-going documentation processes as business needs evolve or features are added.
  • Work directly with stakeholders, vendors, and Software Engineers to plan and implement technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce, SQL Reporting, MS Excel, and other BI reporting tools.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree with specialization in computer science, finance, accounting or business administration is preferred.

Experience:

  • Professional experience (7-10 years strongly preferred) in a functional role concerned with Salesforce.com Administration at an enterprise level above 500 users preferred in EITHER Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud environments.
  • Experience within the benefits brokerage, insurance, financial services, or similar industry is desired but not required.
  • Possess the strong ability to absorb and evaluate information from a variety of sources and maintain a "big picture" view.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best-practices and functionality.
  • Has a deep understanding of native Salesforce features and functionality, as well as the ability to model a role hierarchy, data model, and appropriate sharing mechanisms.
  • Focus on off-platform systems, integration, securing access between systems as well as managing governance and testing capabilities for deployment and ongoing Salesforce modification requirements.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Administration, configuration, automating business processes, and code review.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com DataLoader required.
  • Experience with writing SQL/SOQL queries.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations
  • Advanced level with writing MS Excel 2013 or newer (using functions and macros, pivot tables)
  • Intermediate level of understanding of relational database methodology.
  • Intermediate level of reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Report Services and Power BI.
  • Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
