The Director of Sales is a pivotal member of the Weinig Holz-Her USA Senior Leadership team and is tasked with ensuring the company's market competitiveness, implementing effective pricing strategies, optimizing department compensation structures, and formulating distribution strategies aligned with the company's strategic objectives. As a key leader, this individual plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success in the market.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in consultative sales techniques to ensure individual and team success.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to expand the company's presence and reach.
  • Establish procedures to complement a sales methodology utilizing CRM principles.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, technical services, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and sales agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing market share.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, KPIs, and financial targets, providing regular reporting and analysis to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements relevant to the machinery sector.
  • Manage distribution network.
  • Support and provide input to the factory in the launch of new products and/or product enhancements.


What Will Make You Successful:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; or the equivalent combination of technical school training, military, or industrial experience required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Sales, Operational or Service Management role.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies, with the ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive innovation.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value and driving business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing functional support and interfaces with senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented management style
  • Strong bias for action and results orientation.
  • Budget development and oversight experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

  • Proven organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Must possess a valid driver s license and be able to travel domestically and internationally by air or car on a regular basis (Up to 75%), and a valid passport for occasional international travel is required.
  • Background, MVR and pre-employment drug screen required.


Other Things that Might Make You Stand Out:

  • Prior experience in the wood processing machinery industry.
  • Detailed understanding and demonstrated experience in technical/product/solution sales and/or product management/support strongly preferred.
  • Prior capital equipment sales experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and operation aspects of machinery with ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic prints.
