Business Transformation Business Design Life Sciences Senior

The opportunity

EY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, l, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial data and analytics, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation and enterprise transformation.

Your key responsibilities

A majority of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.

Skills and attributes for success

Deep knowledge in targeted disease areas including oncology, immunology, neurology and cell and gene therapies

Strong commercial strategy skills with exposure to commercial analytics and market access

Prior experience working in a strategy or boutique consulting company and managing a team of at least 3 reports

Experience in running primary research interviews and quantitative surveys in the life science

Experience with market access and knowledge of US market access dynamics including IRA, Medicare, Medicaid would be appreciated

Effectively support client engagement teams

Leading key workstreams as part of large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering high quality deliverables

Helping Manager and Senior Managers manage risk and helping ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business

Helping foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring staff consultants within the organization

Starting to develop long-term client relationships and networks.

Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs

Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge

To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology

3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:

Commercial analytics

Brand strategy

Pricing and market access

Commercial operations model transformation

Digital campaign management strategy

Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)

Experience with commercial operations and analytics

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

A willingness to travel to meet client needs

Advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred

Ideally, you ll also have

Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $92,600 to $169,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $111,100 to $192,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
