Job Title: Registered Nurse PACU/Recovery Day Shift
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services. This role involves working on weekends during day shifts (04:00 10:00).
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring post operative patients' recovery and consciousness levels from anesthesia, providing updates to the medical team as necessary.
Recording patients' vital signs.
Observing patients for signs of side effects from anesthesia medication.
Treating pain, nausea, and other post operative symptoms of anesthesia, administering medication as prescribed.
Updating charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records.
Educating patients and their families on post surgery care, answering any questions they may have.
