Description

RSekure has an amazing opportunity to support our customer as a Database Administrator.

Must possess demonstrated experience providing database tuning, integration, operations and maintenance support to the clients evolving Linux/AWS environment and demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL, DevOps concepts, Linux, Python, and Shell Scripting.

Requirements

Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with FSP

Responsibilities:
Work in close collaboration with a group of Cloud Engineers and Infrastructure Adminstrators
Use experience to migrate Oracle databases to PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL or RDS instances to traditional and non-traditional platforms
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding data integrity
Diagnose, isolate and expediently resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure
Develop methods of ensuring that data incompatibilities among systems are systematically eliminated
Develop and recommend data management policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent data management operations

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 11 years related experience
Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Linux/Unix scripting
Demonstrated experience/knowledge with Amazon Web Services technologies to include EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation
Demonstrated experience/knowledge working in a DevOps environment

Working Conditions:

Business work hours are flexible (Core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.). This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
