SPACE CAMP SUPPLY CLERK

OVERVIEW

Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of items to Space Camp departments.Participate in conducting periodic inventory counts of items and ensure that stock is stored in an organized and proper manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pull and deliver supplies promptly.
  • Stock supplies in a manner that optimizes space.
  • Assist with conducting periodic inventory counts in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe working environment for guests and employees.
  • Meet or exceed the expectations of the manager for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a Center vehicle.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • 6-12 months of closely related experience in an inventory environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have good verbal communication skills to interact with employees and vendors.
  • Must be able to use a 101-key keyboard and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Physical Requirements
  • Walking, and climbing (stairs & ladders) to access other departments and buildings to deliver merchandise.
  • Standing for long periods (4-6 hours) unloading stock and arranging in the warehouse.
  • Pushing, carrying, and lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Reaching, bending, and kneeling to stock, store, retrieve, and deliver supplies, materials, and merchandise.
  • Seeing, wrist movements, and feeling to read packaging slips, handle documents, carry merchandise, operate hand carts, and drive company vehicles.
  • Talking and hearing to communicate with the supervisor and other employees throughout the Rocket Center in person and over the telephone.
Eligibility Qualifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental Factors
  • This position involves working in a climate-controlled building.
  • This position involves working outside in various weather conditions delivering items to departments.
  • This position deals extensively with vendors and employees throughout the organization.
Expected Hours of Work
  • Daily, including Saturdays and Sundays.
