Job Details

Strategic Analysis Inc. (SA) seeks a Technical Writer-Editor to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Defense Sciences Office (DARPA DSO) in technical and programmatic support to the Front Office.

In this role you will provide support to the DSO Front Office with preparing written documents and briefings, to include Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) and other solicitations, Program Approval Documents (PADs), Tech Council presentations, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and program briefings, Research and Development Descriptive Summaries (RDDS) and other ad hoc duties.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Clearance: DoD Secret clearance is required at minimum

Experience:

  • Knowledge in writing solicitation and contract documents.
  • Ability to assist program managers with New Start Briefings and acquisition strategy development.
  • Ability in writing program descriptions within budgeting documents and briefings.
  • Ability in writing reports to Congress.
  • Experience supporting research and development program or project development.
  • Experience working in or with government research and development organizations; DARPA experience is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail with exceptional copy-editing abilities.
  • Ability to translate scientific and technical writing into plain English.
  • The ability to distil complex technical and scientific concepts into accessible language for a broad range of audiences in written and presentation formats.
  • Knowledgeable in writing and editing solicitation and contract documents.
  • Excellent editing skills, including strong knowledge of grammar, sentence structure, and standards of written and visual presentation style.
  • The ability to assist program managers with Tech Council briefings and acquisition strategy development.
  • The ability to write succinctly and specifically for polished products such as program descriptions, budgeting documents, reports to Congress, and other executive level briefings and communications.
