**Description**

***Job Responsibilities:***

Ensures all tools are maintained in good working condition and accounted for at all times.

Ensures all tools requiring calibration are processed in accordance with Navy and local METCAL program procedures.

Issues tools to and receives from maintenance personnel.

Submits broken tool reports as required and provides the control number.

Ensures all tools are accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.

Reports all missing and damaged tools immediately in accordance with Navy Standards and Company procedures.

Marks/labels/shadows tool containers, etches tools, and maintains calibration stickers.

Coordinates material request through supply warehouse.

Orders/issues parts and materials and interfaces with supply warehouse and stock control for requisitioned tools, parts and material required for daily operations.

Processes Add/Delete Tool requirements for approval.

Maintains shortage sheets and register of requisitions for tools on order.

Performs semi-annual tool room inventories and coordinate site wide tool inventories.

Assists during property audits/inspections.

Maintains pre-expended bin (PEB) material in support of aircraft maintenance based on usage and demand.

Researches parts for alternate part numbers, superseded items or next higher assemblies.

Inputs data into a computerized system for ordering PEB material, tools and material requirements.

Provides reports to the supply management as required.

Issues and handles hazardous materials in support of maintenance activity.

Performs other related duties.

Maintains cleanliness of the work center.

Deals with the customer and vendors in courteous, professional and effective manner.

Complies with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste and Tool Control Programs.

Complies with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility and job assignment.

Assists as directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government/Company Owned equipment.

Perform other related duties as required.

May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Prefer applicant have (2) years experience within the last six (6) years in automated inventory control of tooling, materials, and equipment. Must be familiar with property management functions. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. Must be able to obtain the level of industrial security clearance required by the government. Must attend and successfully complete HAZMAT training as required for this position. Computer key punch experience or equivalent typing experience required.

**Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:**

Climbing, standing stooping, bending pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
