Position Summary:


We are a growing manufacturer of precision gears, splines, housings and gear boxes in the Aerospace Industry. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will interface with manufacturing staff, shipping, purchasing, accounting, sales and management personnel to efficiently perform engineering functions for the company within prescribed timelines. We are looking for an Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer. Open to all levels of candidate from recent college graduate to experienced engineer. A high level candidate will be experienced in the processing of Aerospace gears and gearbox housings, assemblies and associated tooling. This means that you can review a final blueprint of an Aerospace gear and generate operational sketches to manufacture the part including heat treat, plating, and any other specifications. 3D model experience helpful but not necessary.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and comprehend customer prints, purchase orders and specifications
  • Adhere to quality policies (AS9100/AS13100)
  • Generate manufacturing process sketches
  • Identify tooling needs
  • Assist manufacturing with process related questions
  • Create process flow in ERP system
  • Review outside process results
  • Coordinate, track and follow up on the action items
  • Participate in and occasionally conduct meetings
  • Maintain accurate record management
  • Provide feedback to customers on prints to help with manufacturability
  • Various ad hoc projects


Requirements:

  • 0-10 years of relevant Aerospace experience
  • Gear manufacturing experience
  • Gearbox housing manufacturing (including GD&T) experience helpful
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Machine/manufacturing (including CAD/CAM) knowledge helpful
  • Must have the ability to exercise independent sound judgment
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Team player with excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to pass a background check
