$2,000 Signing Bonus - $22.66 Hourly rate

Full-time 40 hours / 5 days

Shift (6:45 am - 3:15 pm), 8 hours per day, requires one weekend shift

Founded in 1871 as the Hebrew Home for Aged and Disabled and previously referred to as the Jewish Home , the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) has a long and storied history of providing high-quality care to the community s most vulnerable older adults. Guided by the values and principles of the Jewish tradition, our mission is to enrich the lives of older adults from all faiths and backgrounds.

Situated in the city s Excelsior neighborhood on a state-of-the-art, nine-acre campus, SFCJL includes the 191-unit Frank Residences assisted living and memory care (open since 2020), and the 375-bed Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center (JHRC), which has the distinction of being the largest, private, nonprofit distinct-part skilled nursing facility in the state of California. Additionally, our campus includes a 12 bed, short-term acute psychiatric unit, unique for its specialization in mental healthcare for older adults. All combined, SFCJL serves a vibrant and diverse population of more than 2,500 patients and residents annually.

What you ll do as a Caregiver:

The Caregiver/Resident Services Partner (RSP) provides direct personal care and supervision to the residents in the community. Promotes resident well-being and satisfaction through support with activities of daily living.

  • Assist residents with non-nursing activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, transferring, and toileting following regulations and guidelines
  • Provide light housekeeping for resident apartments on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with Life Enrichment staff, and be trained for resident activities - both one-on-one and group activities
  • Act as a customer service liaison for residents and their families
  • Document care provided to the resident, change of condition, and other situations

For you to be a successful Caregiver:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents/patients, families, and other employees at all levels
  • Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
