LHH Recruitment Solutions is very excited to partner with a local company in the Tualatin, OR area for a Supply Chain Manager role. You will be pivotal in overseeing procurement activities and ensuring efficient material processes. From initial proposal efforts to product delivery, this position requires strategic planning, risk management, and compliance with legal regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy Development :
    • Develops comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Oversees all procurement and material planning activities, ensuring seamless execution from proposal to product delivery.
  2. Cost Optimization and Risk Management :
    • Implements cost-reduction initiatives to maximize returns while minimizing expenditures.
    • Establishes processes to manage supply chain risks effectively.
  3. Compliance and Contract Management :
    • Monitors procurement procedures to comply with both domestic and international government laws and regulations.
    • Manages contractual differences between purchase order requirements and supplier performance.
    • Ensures compliance with legal obligations and maintains transparency in negotiations.
  4. Marketplace Monitoring :
    • Stays vigilant about marketplace changes to prevent adverse impacts on corporate costs and delivery performance.
  5. Subcontract Negotiations :
    • Plans and executes negotiation tactics and strategies for subcontracts.
    • Maintains expenditures within program material budget limits.
  6. Team Leadership and Development :
    • Leads and directs a team of employees based on business needs.
    • Manages staff selection, performance, development, and training to achieve business goals.
  7. Independent Judgment and Punctuality :
    • Demonstrates consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
    • Regular, punctual attendance is required, including flexibility for nights, weekends, and additional hours as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Facilitation and Project Management :
    • Possesses excellent facilitation skills and can lead the procurement team effectively.
    • Drives tasks to completion within established timelines.
    • Bachelors Degree required.
    • 7+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
