$89,471 - $134,207SUMMARYCustoms Border Patrol (CBP) has a global presence with connectivity to approximately 1300 field sites as well as Other Government Agencies (OGAs) and trade partners. CBP conducts operations in 22 countries, 328 ports of entry, 129 border patrol stations within 22 sectors, and 75 AMO locations. To support its mission, CBP needs a robust, resilient, and high performing enterprise network and supporting services throughout its global footprint. The Network Services Division within the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Directorate (EIOD) provides network services and oversight of the CBP enterprise network infrastructure and comprises the Network Architecture and Engineering Division (NAED) and Network Operations Division (NOD).The Network Analyst II will work in a Customs & Border Protection s (CBP) Enterprise Network Architecture & Engineering support services contract (ENAESS), focused on Wireless Network deployments and maintenance.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist various departments to maintain network security and configure remote routers and provide engineering support.Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades services to streamline process and recommend improvements.Maintain hardware and software for network, perform troubleshoot, and assist in the installation and upgrade of Router and switch IOS to a baseline.Install and maintain data and voice circuits through routers, switches, and Wide Area Network devices.Understand the Customer mission to assist with engineering requirements.Analyze and perform troubleshooting on Local Area Network cabling and Wide Area Network wired and wireless.Configure routers and switches to support Voice Over IP and VTC devices and ensure customer availability for various networks.Administer and prepare program for IP addresses, develop network resources and train support personnel to provide Tier I support to end users.Engineer and/or Monitor all Information Assurance policies and enforce compliance to all network security policies.Coordinate with various teams for disaster planning and perform network backup and monitor recovery processes.Manage and document network systems, operational procedures and monitor hardware inventory for network.Participate in network on-call support on rotational basis.Ensure and provide effective customer service to in-unit managers and customers.QUALIFICATIONSRequired CertificationsEligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active clearance.Clearance Preference:CBP Full BI - 1st priorityAny DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd choiceDoD Top Secret + willingness to get CBP clearance - 3rd choice (it can take 45 days to 6 months to obtain a CBP clearance work can only begin once the clearance is fully adjudicated)Education, Background, and Years of ExperienceBachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree.
