Wireless Network Administrator


Job Details

- Assist in managing a Cisco Enterprise Wireless Network infrastructure.
-Assist with site surveys, collecting requirements, and planning wireless deployments.
-Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for client/user support.
-Support life-cycle management of wireless infrastructure devices, such as the installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, operations maintenance, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting.
-Create and execute change requests plans in adherence to change management guidelines.
-Apply upgrades and security compliance standards on all wireless network devices.
-Conduct technical reviews of all changes.
-Review and enhance Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
-Support GAO and audit activities.
-Support ScienceLogic advancement & tuning.
-Conduct periodic daily monitoring of the wireless service.
-Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
-CCNP certification
-Tier 3 support expertise including minimum 5 years primarily focused on wireless network infrastructure.
-Hands on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Prime
-Knowledge of Cisco DNA Center
-Knowledge of Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) Hyperflex Hosts, Virtual Servers, Firewall Threat Defense and Firewall Management Center.
-Knowledge of WLAN technologies, network management, and security, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practices.
-Knowledge of security protocols and authentication (Wi-Fi Protected Access [WPA2], Extensible Authentication Protocol-Transport Layer Security [EAP-TLS], 802.1x, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting [AAA]).
-Effective analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
-Ability to explain and elaborate technical details.
-Ability to self-direct, take initiative and lead teams.
-Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, frequently changing, and occasionally ambiguous environment.
-Must be a great team player with a positive attitude.
-Medium to advanced MS Visio documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-CCIE Certification
-Experience configuring and implementing network segmentation, including VLANs and MPLS
-Experience with multiple end user system operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Apple IOS
