LHH is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, IN. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organization that focuses on having a team-centered work environment and prioritizing customer needs. In this role, you will oversee the manufacturing and assembly operation on 1st shift and lead a team of production associates. The compensation ranges between $62,000-72,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical benefit options, a 401k match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and assist in creating production schedules to meet customer demands
- Attend planning meetings with department leaders prior to production shifts to discuss work order demands, scheduling, and confirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials & packaging components are in place before adding to production schedule
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to ensure products meet standards
- Remain in compliance with Quality Assurance and Safety standards at all times
- Analyze and resolve process-related stoppages to prevent production backlogs
- Solve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issues
- Manage change, inventory control, financial analysis and ensure proper distribution of inventory for any discontinued, damaged and/or obsolete inventory items
- Communicate daily movement of materials from production to distribution areas
- Implement continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) for manufacturing and distribution and for Environmental, Health, and Safety proposes
- Occasionally work with approved suppliers for product availability, market conditions, and ensures contracts are in place where required
QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree is preferred but not required
- A minimum of 5 years of Production Supervision or Production Team Leader experience within a manufacturing and/or assembly environment is required
- Experience with and a strong understanding of productivity, throughput, and KPI reporting is required
- Must have experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Excel
- Must have knowledge of quality standards and health & safety practices and regulations
- Must be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leader
