Job Details
This role is for the second member of our Strategic Finance team. You will help us build out financial strategy, analytics, and process that allow us to manage the business through extreme growth. Your work will be a mix of business analysis, forecasting, and budgeting (i.e., managing and analyzing company financials) and strategic initiatives (i.e., partnering with product, engineering, sales, and marketing leaders to drive business outcomes).
The ideal candidate will have excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, as well as strong communication skills. The Strategic Finance team focuses on the highest-priority business issues, and you will have visibility and impact across all areas of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Own the company s financial operating model, working with leaders of all functions to help them plan for successful outcomes
- Conduct analyses to help us understand and improve key financial metrics (e.g., revenue, gross margin, operating margin, etc.)
- Partner with other teams (e.g., product, engineering, sales, etc.) to help them make data-driven decisions and understand financial impact
- Create materials that update the company, leadership, and investors on our business performance
- Remain flexible and be willing to wear multiple hats in support of ad-hoc, strategic projects (e.g., M&A, pricing, etc.)
What We re Looking For:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity and/or in a finance role at a fast-paced startup
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey complex messages to non-finance audiences
- Agile self-starter with an ability to move quickly in an unstructured environment
- Understanding of enterprise SaaS businesses, metrics, and pricing models
- Fluency in data and analytics (experience with BI tools and SQL are a plus)
