Your role at Clorox:

The key responsibility of this position involves developing worldwide procurement strategies to manage a $220 million budget across 250 suppliers specializing in Chemicals on a global scale. These materials play a pivotal role in supporting $7 billion in sales spanning all our brands. The individual in this role will have the overarching responsibility for overseeing the global scope and will lead a team of one direct report.


In this role, you will:

  • Ensuring development and delivery of category strategies to support corporate and brand strategies related to cost, supply robustness, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Developing and execution of contracts, responsible for leading supplier relationships, value delivery and performance.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, RFPs.
  • Highly results focused, competitive and solution driven individual. Curiosity to delve deep into the supply chain and think outside the box to deliver value.
  • Challenge current status quo and passionately align Business Unit strategies to your strategy & market capabilities.
  • Build and develop a world class organization; providing leadership and direction to a group of 1 direct report who lead spend categories, in all technical skills to drive world class results; define and implement best practices across the team.
  • Represent Procurement in different internal and external forums at mid to senior level; and with high to medium level of complexity. Develop concise business cases to ensure Business buy-in.


What we look for:

  • 7+ years of sourcing or relevant experience in a global, matrixed environment.
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience) OR MBA is highly preferred
  • Must have proven experience operating in a manufacturing environment
  • Strategic sourcing experience of raw materials, specifically surfactants is highly preferred
  • Leadership skills demonstrated experience driving positive results through teams in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Ability to drive change and breakthrough performance improvement across a team
  • Experience with Sourcing / Procurement tools and methodologies, RFP, including commodity hedging (Resin and/or Oil), Cost Models / Should Cost / Clean Sheet, Negotiations, Contracts.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, analytical Skills demonstrated through the ability to deliver financial results.
  • Communication Skills at senior management level both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing and strategically influencing stakeholders and driving accountability.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100

Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100

Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100
