CACI is currently seeking a PostgreSQL DBA with strong ETL and AWS Experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! More About the Role:
Support 7x24x365 mission critical applications
Excellent knowledge of AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL) Database
Follow and establish DB standards for production Databases.
Recommend and implement production Database procedures.
Support the Functional Business, Application Development, and Security Technical Teams to provide O&M and Release Management support for landscape components
Participate proof of concept in new technologies.
Good knowledge of ETL process across heterogenous Databases.
Design, develop and implement approaches for historical data retention and archival storage backup and recovery solutions
Work in a collaborative team environment with other operational (e.g. OS, DBA, network, security, etc.) team members to troubleshoot and optimize performance
Knowledge of AWS services e.g. DMS, RDS, Lambda etc
Scripting bash or AWS Software Development Kit (SDK)
You Will Bring these Qualifications:
College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.
Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
8-10 years of technical experience as a DBA, Developer or related technical experience
5 or more years of experience as a DBA in PostgreSQL
ETL experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expertise to support application team
Strong written communication skills to document implemented solutions or workarounds
Good understanding of physical and logical data modelling
Capable of working in a team environment and collaborating with other teams like platform support, developers, production support etc.
Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools to work with application developers to identify and correct inefficient database operations
Database Migration experience strongly preferred, especially Oracle to PostgreSQL
AWS RDS experience
Experience working with AWS tools
Strong programming background for writing triggers, functions, and procedures.
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices to deliver functionality on time, which meet business needs
Effective Task organization skills, including the ability to realistically assess, plan for, and logically organize complex technical tasks
Agile implementation methodology experience
Thrive in a technically and geographically diverse team environment.
Pass CBP background investigation (U.S. Citizenship required).

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $82,100-$172,400. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
