Job ID: 24-01646Licensed Practical Nurse - PediatricsLeesburg, VAMUST:Experienced Licensed Practical Nurse/ Registered Nurse2+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse/ Registered Nurse2+ years of experience working in a physician's medical practice2+ years of experience with vaccines/ injections and phlebotomyExperience working in pediatrics strongly preferredAbility to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary teamFamiliarity with safety and sanitation standards and proceduresUnderstanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practicesExcellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminologyGood knowledge of MS Office and EMR ECW experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate and able to handle stressActive VA license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical NurseDUTIES:Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistantAssist physician and physician assistant in exam roomsDaily chart documentation of medical histories and symptomsKnowledge of taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.)Administer medicines, treatments, and vaccinationsCollect samples for lab testing as assignedProvide emotional and psychological support when neededEscort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients chartGive instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistantEnsure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointmentKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as requiredTake telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy callsTriage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistantsMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
