Description

The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking an IPA/Navigator for the NY State of Health Marketplace who, under the guidance of the Financial Counselor Supervisor, is primarily responsible for working as a sub-grantee under CCSI grant to assist individuals and families enroll for insurance through the NY State of Health Marketplace.

Requirements

The IPA/Navigator of the NY State of Health Marketplace will ensure to:

Enroll individuals and families in the Marketplace.

Work independently to succeed in enrollments.

Be part of the Community Outreach grant.

A team approach to enrollment is foster.

Be regarded as a strong Jordan team player.

Education And Experience Required:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

One of the Following:

One year of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in a professional interviewing capacity in various commercial, insurance, banking or government business setting to include interviewing experience involving personal, claims, unemployment, customer service, etc.

One year of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in responsible public contact work such as social welfare-oriented experience in such field as claims evaluation, insurance, unemployment, disability, etc., and similar health and human relations areas.

Computer or business school training is highly desirable.

Bilingual (Spanish).

Licenses And Certifications Required:

Most possess a valid class D NYS Driver's License and must have access to a motor vehicle in order to meet the transportation requirements of this position.

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

Must be proficient in:

MS Office Applications (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record preferred.
