Research AdministratorResearch Administrators provide faculty and staff with pre-award support to identify funding opportunities and develop and submit proposals on behalf of the institution. Additionally, research administrators provide continued post-award support to ensure the financial and programmatic requirements are completed, including compliance with all federal laws and granting agency regulations.Date of first consideration: 02/20/2024Duties and Responsibilities:Provides leadership and coordination through all steps of the SPARC grant cycle.Leads the post-award project management oversight activities of SPARC as they relate to OMB Uniform Guidance.Works with Director of SPARC to Provides effective formal and informal training to PIs and department staff who provide administrative support on sponsored programs.Assists faculty and staff members in developing grant materials, such as: high quality narratives, abstracts, attachments, graphs, charts and tables to distill and convey relevant data to sponsors.Assists in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships, coordinating grant meetings, as needed.Reviews all Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure proposal narratives are compliant with sponsor requirements.Assists applicants with grant budget development, including pertinent cost-sharing and allowable cost information.Develops and implements procedures on various processes of the grant lifecycle. Utilizing SUU, state, and federal policies, as applicable.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited institution with a master's degree directly related to job description OR a bachelor's degree plus two years of directly related experience and/or any combination of education and/or experience directly related totaling six years. Examples of related degree: Research Administration, Accounting, Business Management, Technical Writing, Public Administration, etc.Knowledge of Federal OMB Uniform Guidance, fiscal and business procedures.Strong technical and interpersonal skills required.Ability to read, interpret, and communicate federal laws, regulations, and policies.Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills; capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects at the same time.Ability to use computerized financial systems, both web-based and related software, including Excel.Ability to work as a key member of a cooperative, customer-friendly team.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to create accurate and timely reports.Willingness to work towards achieving the Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation within 3-5 years of employment.Documents Needed to Apply:ResumeCover LetterContact information for 3 professional referencesRecommendation letter, optionalCopyright 2022 Jobelephant.com Inc.
