Overview:

Steelworx Industrial Group, LLC. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join their industrial client's team. This position is a technical career position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical support for all phases of the operations. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including a thorough understanding of electrical controls, fluid power mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, automation, and troubleshooting. As the Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facility s electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operations.


The ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations is required. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.


Position Summary:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical assistance across all phases of our operation. This is a technical career position that requires expertise in multiple skill clusters, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively within a team environment and interact productively with management and operations personnel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance and assistance to production teams during equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Skill Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in electrical controls, fluid power, and mechanical systems.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Understand and contribute to efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English and Spanish. High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Computer Skills: Competent in Windows-based software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong skills in document organization, using document templates, and creating simple queries.
  • Certification: Certifications in any technical field or techniques are a plus.


Special Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in the area of AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience in electrical safety and lockout/tagout processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the theory and application of electronic devices, including industrial semiconductors, solid-state drives, and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with the operation of PLC systems and control and data collection instrumentation and transducers.
  • Working knowledge and skills in tools and components used in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, such as bearings, gears, clutches, belts, and seals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
